Virgo is seeping into every part of our being now as the Sun makes his entrance in the sign of the Divine Feminine. We focus a little more on ourself, our eating habits, our health, and our exercise habits. Now’s the time to rest and really listen to your body. Anxiety and health issues are likely to flare if you continue the same toxic habits that have slid by for too long. This could be habits relating to your body, lifestyle and relationships. This could also be habits and patterns relating to your work environment. Often with Virgo, our accomplishments and efforts go unseen or unappreciated. Use this time to explore which area in your life you are giving too much of yourself without proper recognition or compensation. Being of service is a core aspect of Virgo, but this can lead to burnout and lack of confidence when your service isn’t appreciated.
Major September Aspects
During the first half of September, we continue with a Virgo heavy chart. The four major personal planets (minus the Moon), Venus, Mercury, Mars, and the Sun, are dancing together there, and will be making hard aspects to both Jupiter and Neptune from September 2-13. During the second half of September, Mercury, Venus, and the Sun will be moving into Libra, and Opposing Chiron, and Saturn Stations Direct on September 18th. During the last half of September, Mercury and Venus will be Squaring Saturn and Pluto, forcing us to review our values in love and relationships.
But more on that later.. Going back to the beginning of September, Mercury, Mars, and the Sun will be in very close proximity during the 2-3, affecting our emotions and motivation.

This is creating a focus on health, both emotional and physical. Any anger, irritation, or resentments that haven’t be voiced, will either be communicated now, or turn inside and create health issues and sickness. However, this is a good time for motivation in work and getting new habits and routines solidified. Make sure to rest and find time to process emotions that arise. Boundaries are very important during this time as we might have a tendency to sacrifice.
The Oppositions to Neptune at 17 degrees Pisces/Virgo, start on September 4 with Venus as the first of the 4 planets. On September 7th it’s Mercury, on September 10th it’s the Sun, and on September 13th, it will be Mars in Opposition to Neptune during the Pisces Full Moon. Neptune oppositions can bring a variety of challenges including confusion, grief, loss, fatigue, illness, deception, self-sabotage, and a tendency to fall into addictive and avoidant behaviors.
The Squares to Jupiter start on September 2 at 15 degrees, Sagittarius/Virgo again, with Venus. On September 6th it’s Mercury, September 8th, it's the Sun, and on September 12th it’s Mars. Because Neptune is an outer planet, its effects will likely take center stage over Jupiter. But Jupiter expands what it touches which means that everything we are feeling with Neptune, may be amplified, with an added sense of indulgence, entitlement, and overconfidence or optimism which may be an illusion. We may think we can take risks, only to find that when the fog of Neptune clears, we’ve overshot that Sagittarius arrow and completely missed the mark. This also means that conflicts and emotions could be heightened as plans or expectations dissolve and disappointment sets in.
During these dates - between September 2-12, try not to make any definitive decisions, keep some perspective of your current situation, and have support and healthy tools available to work through any emotions that surface.
