A Guided Meditation: Automatic Writing to discover alternative solutions to problems

Introduction

Automatic Writing is a process of shutting your conscious mind off to allow your unconscious mind to take over your writing, allowing your spirit-guides to write (communicate) through you. Automatic writing is a tool that can empower you to communicate with Spirit, and tune-in to your subconscious. With practice, you will learn the infinite possibilities that exist with this tool. And, as you gain control of your newfound ability, you will grow in your limitless possibilities, empowering you to innovate, and share with the collective, in a unique way that only you can do.

I want you to think about any goals that you have set for yourself. Whether you want to innovate on a new creative vision, start a business, lose weight, stop smoking, gain confidence,  or overcome any obstacles that have previously stood in your way - you can lean into the knowledge that this time you will succeed. So make this pledge to yourself right now:  ‘I am in complete control of my life and I can do anything that I set my mind to’.  I am open to receiving information from my Higher Self and Spirit Guides to help guide me.

Automatic Writing

What You’ll Need:
Paper (large enough that you will not need to flip or turn to continue writing)
Pen
Candle (optional)

Set your Intention

I want you to think about any goals that you have set for yourself. Whether you want to innovate on a new creative vision, start a business, lose weight, stop smoking, gain confidence,  or overcome any obstacles that have previously stood in your way - you can lean into the knowledge that this time you will succeed. You'll discover that your inner mind can create its own unique solutions to the problems you've been experiencing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Visualize a candle, see the white light of the candle flame being drawn downwards, from your minds eyes, through the body: your head, neck, shoulders, arms, chest, stomach, thighs, legs and feet. This beautiful flame,  bright white light is within you. You are in the Light. You are the Light. You are protected by your own positive psychic energy field. You can also light a candle during your automatic writing session as energetic support. 

  • Ask you ancestors, guides, angels or the Divine to come to you during your meditation and ritual.

  • With one hand holding your ink pen above the paper allow the messages to flow from spirit to paper without you trying to nudge or understand what is being written. You might find yourself drawing, writing symbols, or even numbers. Either way, allow it to flow. You’ll have a chance to examine it later.

  • When your hand finally calms down, thank your guides for helping you and providing insight for you in that moment.

  • Close out the circle by dismissing and thanking your ancestors, guides, angels or the Divine for their guidance.

  • Take some time to research the symbols and words that came through.

SUGGESTED PRACTICES

  • Allow yourself to simply connect. If nothing arises for you (visuals, images) - allow yourself the discipline and dedication to simply sit and create space to connect. No information does not necessarily mean there is not. It takes time to slow down, align and learn the language of energetic communication. It’s possible that the first few tries, or first month, is a calling for you observe and sit in awareness. Many people find it challenging to quiet their minds and allow the information to flow. To sit in energetic awareness is itself is a practice and gift. Be patient, remain dedicated and focused.

  • Stay aware. Pay attention to symbols, dreams and people that come to you after the journey work. Even months later.

  • Keep a journal, record your dreams and emotional responses. Past lives can reveal themselves in dreams, visions, or extreme emotional responses that feel real but are not connected to current-life experiences.

  • Keep a record. With your mobile device on airplane mode, record your journey and speak your impressions and answers to the guided questions out loud. Later, review each recording and look for patterns and symbols.

  • Feel free to burn incense: frankincense, mugwort or whatever incense that is called to you.

  • Revisit the message. Take some time to research the symbols and words that came through. Now that you have done this automatic writing session, you know you can trust your unconscious mind to act in your own best interests. With each automatic writing session, you’ll discover with each journey you’ll discover more information about yourself.
