New Moon - Spiritual Bath for Attraction, Abundance & Self Love
A Spiritual bath can strengthen our connection to the natural world and the Universal Divine; by combining the vibrational power of water, and raising that waters energy with words (prayer), incense, oils, plants [herbs] and intentions.
A cleansing can increases well being, and uplifts your spirit by washing away stagnation and negativity. It can remove obstacles that block success in achieving your intentions.
A bath is done prior to a ritual, to remove any unwanted energy, center the mind and to be clean prior to asking the Divine for ones intention. A bath can be done either in a traditional bath, or by standing in a shower (and pouring the prepared bath water over one’s head).
A bath for Attraction is usually done after a cleansing bath or clearing bath. Once you remove, you then replenish / attract.
Important Notes / Before You Begin
This bath will be preformed after you take your standard bath / shower. You will have already washed your hair & body for the day - and cleaned your tub or shower of all residue soaps and suds.
*You will air dry once you finish taking the ritual bath. You will NOT dry off by wiping down with a towel.
You will NOT shower afterwards for 24 hours.
If you do this ritual at night, you will not shower in the morning. You will shower again 24 hours later (est.).
You can either prepare the bath a few days in advance, or on the day of the ritual. Ideally, you have done an exercise and are aware of your intention. If you already have your intention written, you can place the handwritten intention under the bath jar surrounded by 3 candles in a triangle formation (the triangle of manifestation).
You can further empower your intention by drawing, or tracing with your finger the Reiki symbol Cho Ku Rei : “Placing all the powers of the Universe here”
Preparation time 45 mins
Preparing a bath for 1 -3 days
Spring Water - est. 1.5 liter (spring or bottled spring water)
Salt (unprocessed - two handfuls)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (or ritual oils)
Basil or Sage or herb of your choice
Basil - Used for prosperity, success, peace, protection, happiness, purification, tranquility, and love
Sage - Purification and protection, wisdom, health, and long life
White Candles (votive or tea-lights)
White Robe, or White Towel
Quartz or Rose Quartz crystals
*Optional Roses Petals
*Optional Cheese Cloth Strainer
*Optional Florida Water
Prepare the Bath
Separate the cools (salt, oils) from the hot items (herbs). Add some water, as if you were going to boil some tea - as the water begins to heat up, awaken the plants / herbs by talking to them, and reminding them their purpose and asking for their assistance. Let the herb steep, and then take off the stove top and cool down (you will mix this with the cooling items in a moment).
Combine the Items
Place the salt (two handfuls), into a bowl with cool water with any complimentary ritual oils at this time to the cooling water (do not add olive oil that is for later) You can add abundance or a ritual oil of your choice at this time.
Mix the warm herbs, salt together in a glass (or plastic) jar. Place a crystal of your choice in the water. Let these items now sit together.
If you do not like getting stuff in your hair - you can use a cheese cloth to strain the bath water prior to putting it in the bath or pouring it over your head. Any person who lives in an old houses or apartments may prefer to strain the bath of the herbs, and protect their pipes.
Crystal Suggestions
Quartz, Rose quartz.
*If you do not have crystals that is okay. When I am in a rush, many of my baths do not use crystals. You can also awaken the water by singing to it, ringing bells or chimes.
Intention
If you are preparing the bath ahead of time, you can place your written intention under the bath water and inside a triangle of manifestation (see illustration below).
Taking the Bath
You can take this bath for 1 day, or 3 consecutive days - depending on your intention and need for removal of any lingering energy. In the bathroom, clean the bath and or shower of soap or residue; and have your towel or robe near by. Sage the space.
Run the bathwater - and put the prepared bath in the water. If you made enough for 3 days, only pour in 1 days worth.if you are doing this ritual in the shower, you will pour the bath water over your head three times while meditating and saying your intention.
When the bath has been made, place two tea lights at the edge of the bath tub or shower entrance. CAUTION (be careful with fire).
You are to walk THROUGH the tea lights both on entry and exit. Once in the bath or shower, this is your own personal ritual. I suggest that you remind yourself of your intentions. See yourself surrounded with light and say out loud -
“That all energy that is not mine and does not serve me is returned to source.”
Submerge your head under water three times (or if in the shower pour the bath water over your head three times while saying your intention).
Affirmations
I have everything I need within myself.
I enjoy my own company.
I am a magnet of love
Keep yourself relaxed in a meditative state. Remember why you are taking the bath. When you are finished, usually in about 20 minutes - you will exit the bath through the tea lights (these tea lights are a portal).
Protection and Restoration
Now that you removed energy, you will need to replace it with intention. Use the Olive Oil (or ritual oil of choice) and if you’re Catholic you can use a cross - if you prefer otherwise, you can dab the oil on the following points on your body.
With protection and beauty in mind:
Crown (top of head)
Third Eye (forehead)
Nape of neck (back of neck)
Palm of each hand
Base of each foot
* you can also do your heart if you desire.
Now, wrap yourself in either a towel or robe (DO NOT TOWEL DRY - Allow your body to AIR DRY). You can continue on with an altar ritual, or full meditation of your choice.
Place your written intention underneath the votive candle, or jar / bowl of water. Place the three tea lights in a traingle formation (this is the traingle of manifestation).
