XI. Justice

The journey from Strength to Temperance, we develop our sense of self - and how we master our emotions when faced with external challenges.

Justice is the eleventh key of the major arcana and the halfway point of the Fool's journey. when you arrive at the center of the major arcana. Here, the Fool looks within and weighs her conscience in order to inquire as to the truth of her existence. Justice is one of the four cardinal virtues mentioned in the Book of Wisdom in The Old Testament. In the illustration, we find Justice standing between the sun, the moon, and two pillars representing duality — the crux of good and evil, light and dark, etc. She embodies the third pillar, alluding to the three energy channels of a kundalini awakening. The jewel on her crown refers to the pineal gland, a pinecone-shaped gland found within the brain but behind the third eye, which is activated during a kundalini awakening. Justice desires harmony, and with her sword, she cuts away all that is imbalanced and hinders the awakening process.
